XLI Chilean Congress of Nephrology, Hypertension and Kidney Transplantation (October 3-5 th )

Important participation of the Laboratory in the Chilean Congress of Nephrology, Hypertension and Kidney Transplantation: Award for the best work in basic sciences.

This year, our laboratory had an outstanding participation in the XLI Chilean Congress of Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation, held in the city of Puerto Varas, Chile.

Dr. Cristián Amador presented the conference entitled *“NGAL as an immunological regulator of early renal damage”*. Likewise, Magdalena Castro, a PhD student, participated in the poster session, where she presented significant advances in her thesis project.

In the category of free papers, Dr. Patricio Araos presented his research entitled *“The increase in Connexin 43 in unilateral ureteral obstruction is associated with a greater renal macrophage population”*, while TM Javiera Sáez presented the progress of our project entitled *“Effects of the NGAL receptor in chronic kidney disease”*. This was the last one recognized with the award for “Best work in basic sciences”.
