Celebration of World Kidney Day at Universidad San Sebastián: Promoting Awareness of Renal Health
In commemoration of World Kidney Day, on March 13th and 14th, the Renal Physiopathology Laboratory at Universidad San Sebastián held a series of informative and educational activities at the Los Leones and Bellavista campuses. The main objective was to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease and promote the importance of renal health care and prevention.
During these two days, informative stands were set up where educational materials about chronic kidney disease, its causes, symptoms, and available treatments were provided. Students, professors, and administrative staff had the opportunity to participate in explanatory talks and consult with specialists in the field.
Chronic kidney disease is a public health problem that affects a significant number of people worldwide. Therefore, it is essential to promote awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy kidneys and adopting preventive measures to reduce the risk of developing this condition.
These sessions were met with great interest and participation from the university community, demonstrating Universidad San Sebastián's commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its members. It is hoped that this activity will inspire more people to take proactive measures to protect the health of their kidneys and promote a culture of prevention in society at large.
