Our team takes pride in organizing a successful in-person workshop on basic science in nephrology in collaboration with the University of San Sebastián. Bringing together distinguished experts from various institutions and regions, including our collaborators from Paris, the workshop provided an opportunity for participants to present their research and work in the field of nephrology. Additionally, undergraduate and postgraduate students also had the chance to showcase their projects in poster format. The success of this event was not only attributed to the quality of the presentations and the level of the participants but also to the strengthening of bonds among nephrology professionals and the revival of a collaborative spirit within the scientific community. After a prolonged period of adapting to virtual platforms, this gathering in a physical setting was a long-awaited moment for all attendees, who relished the personal reunion and direct interaction.
